The phrase to read carefully is "last working day". Because collections are closed on Sundays and bank holidays, the last working day before a Monday collection is usually the Friday, and a bank holiday shifts that earlier still.

If your collection sits near a bank holiday, work the deadline back by hand rather than assuming you have until the day before. It is the single most common timing mistake we see.
